Grayson Chappell is a Licensed Psychological Associate (LPA) and holds a Degree from the Master of Arts Psychology Program, Clinical Concentration, at North Carolina Central University. Grayson also received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology and Sociology from North Carolina Central University. Grayson has experience providing psychotherapy and psychological testing services with clients in community mental health, school based mental health, private practice, and medical settings. Grayson is the Clinical Director at WFP. He also continues to maintain his own clinical caseload.

Grayson strives to meet each individual where they are at in their mental health journey. Grayson is passionate about providing a treatment environment characterized by trust, unconditional positive regard, introspection, responsibility, and accountability. Grayson utilizes an integrative approach to treatment which incorporates a variety of therapeutic techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Prolonged Exposure (PE), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Mindfulness/Meditation. Grayson has experience providing services for individuals, families, and groups affected by an array of social, emotional, and behavioral disorders. He also has experience providing mental health services for individuals experiencing co-occurring medical complications such as chronic-pain and chronic-illness.

Grayson provides psychological testing and assessment services to identify, monitor, or rule out Attention-Deficit / Hyperactivity Disorder, specific Learning Disorders, Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and Personality Disorders. Grayson believes that psychological testing is a process which can be therapeutic in that it offers an individual the opportunity to learn more about themselves and their presenting difficulties. Grayson works with each client to ensure that the testing services provided will be sufficient to meet their needs prior to the testing session. Grayson also works with each client after testing to ensure that they have an understanding of the information contained in their report and any identified diagnoses.
When Grayson is outside of the office, he is typically spending time with his wife and son. Grayson enjoys outdoor family activities such as hiking, rock climbing, and visiting the beach. Grayson also enjoys listening to all genres of music and making noise with a guitar.
