Lisa Wilson is a Licensed Clinical Social Work Associate and Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist Associate. She works to help her clients foster a happier, healthier, and more successful existence. Lisa collaborates with individuals (pre-teens, adolescents, and adults), families and couples coping with trauma, grief, loss, depression, anger, stress, anxiety, low self-esteem, family conflicts, various relationship issues, substance use issues, and codependency and adjustment challenges.

As a clinician, Lisa feels it’s important to consider the entire person, as this is paramount when utilizing a Humanistic Approach to treatment. Lisa uses Person-Centered Therapy to promote complete mental, social, physical, cultural, and spiritual well-being. She uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy when collaborating with individuals addressing substance use concerns. Lisa has seen great success when incorporating Recovery-Oriented Cognitive Behavior Therapy to address substance use. When working with couples, she uses Narrative Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy. She also has experience as a Registered Behavior Technician. Lisa offers a safe and supportive environment to process issues without judgment and cultivate a helping relationship that allows clients to define and achieve a healthy lifestyle. She helps clients learn and use a variety of coping skills and tools to respond to life challenges in positive and self-compassionate ways.
Lisa has been providing mental health support for over 19 years, since receiving her master’s degree in social work from Hunter College in New York City in 2005.
Fun fact: Lisa performed at Lincoln Center and received acting lessons from Glen Turman and Ralph Carter... But she is a way better therapist than performer.😊
