Matthew has worked extensively with young men (ages 10-18) on issues such as depression, anxiety, anger management, self-mutilation, social skills, anti-social behavior, coping skills, forming relationships, oppositional defiance disorder and substance use disorders. Matthew utilizes an eclectic approach to counseling that is tailored to ensure the optimal fit and maximum benefit for each client. His approach focuses on techniques that include client centered therapy, DBT, cognitive behavior therapy, psychoanalysis, and motivational interviewing. These techniques and counseling practices allow him to work in both individual and group setting with children of all ages and backgrounds, while identifying and focusing on the individual needs and desires of each individual client. Matthew has experience working with children who have experienced divorce and difficulty in school or home.
