Evangeline is a social work therapist who is passionate about supporting children and families through life’s challenges and helping children feel safe, understood, and supported. She believes that meaningful change begins with a trusting therapeutic relationship and strives to create a warm, welcoming environment where children can express themselves, explore their experiences, and build confidence in their strengths.
Evangeline holds a Bachelor of Social Work from Liberty University and a Master of Social Work from the University of Central Florida. Her professional experiences have centered around working with children and families in a variety of educational, clinical, and community-based settings. As an educator and literacy tutor, she has worked with children across a wide range of developmental and learning needs, providing individualized instruction, supporting students with IEPs, utilizing multi-sensory interventions, and building positive relationships with students. These experiences have strengthened her understanding of the unique ways children learn, communicate, and respond to their environments.
Her experience extends beyond education into caregiving, advocacy, and behavioral health. She has provided structure and emotional support to children experiencing housing instability and served as a foster parent for a sibling group, supporting their emotional, behavioral, and developmental needs. These experiences reinforced her belief in the importance of consistency, patience, connection, and creating a sense of safety for children.
Evangeline has also supported children and families through clinical case management and advocacy. As a victim advocate, she provided crisis support, safety planning, and connections to community resources for survivors of domestic violence and their families. She also served as a Guardian ad Litem, advocating for the best interests and wellbeing of a child within the legal system. Through these experiences, she developed a trauma-informed, family-centered perspective and a deeper understanding of how a child's relationships and environment can influence their emotional and behavioral wellbeing.
During her clinical training as a social work therapist, Evangeline provided therapeutic interventions, conducted assessments, and developed experience working with family systems, trauma, and attachment.
She recognizes that every child has a unique story and that children often communicate their experiences in ways that look different from adults. She values meeting children where they are and using developmentally appropriate approaches to help them feel comfortable, understood, and engaged in the therapeutic process.
Evangeline also believes that supporting a child often means supporting the people around them. She values partnering with parents and caregivers, providing them with tools and understanding that can reinforce therapeutic progress beyond the therapy setting. Her goal is to help children and families develop skills, strengthen relationships, and build upon the strengths they already possess.
Above all, Evangeline considers it a privilege to walk alongside children and families during vulnerable seasons of their lives. She strives to offer compassionate, patient, and nonjudgmental support while helping each child recognize their strengths and develop the confidence and skills needed to move forward.
